When the fuel calculator shows a figure
3 November 2026
The fuel calculator compares a conventional trip you enter with a Finish Line figure for the model you select. Your side of the comparison is the distance, speed, and fuel price you type. The Finish Line side appears only when that model has an approved record on file.
Open the calculator
The page is the fuel calculator, also linked in the header. Choose the model, enter the trip you want to compare, and read the result for that selection. Changing the model loads that model’s record, not the previous boat’s numbers.
When a figure is shown
A model with an approval date can show the record the yard has stored. That record may include a zero-diesel threshold and the conditions that go with it, a litres-per-hour row at stated speeds, or a comparison percentage with its source. Each of those is shown only when it has been approved for that model.
A zero-diesel claim needs the threshold, the conditions, and the approval date together. A comparison percentage needs the approval date and the source together. One without the other stays off the page.
When a figure is not shown
If the selected model has no approval date, the calculator does not invent a saving and does not borrow a percentage from another model. You still see the conventional trip you entered. The Finish Line side stays empty until a record is approved.
Nothing on the calculator is filled in as a default saving. Explorer and Sport Fishing models are treated the same way as Signature models: a figure appears only from that model’s approved record.
What to do with the result
Use the result as a reading of the records on file for that hull and the trip you typed. It is not a warranty of fuel use at sea, and it is not a quote. For a confirmed figure on a boat you are considering, ask the yard from that boat’s page and name the model.
